English Languarge Arts/ French Immersion Language Arts - Our winners for our Reading Challenge for the month of May are Mia Othberg from grade 6 and Summer MacLeod from grade 5!
This week’s challenge: We are sad that we missed our end of year field trips this year. We want YOU to take US on a virtual field trip. Create a video, brochure, Sway, Powerpoint or poster about where you would have liked to have gone. Imagine that the restrictions have been lifted and we could go anywhere in New Brunswick. Places we have gone in the past include Hopewell Rocks, Cornhill Nursery, Albert County Museum, Fundy Park, Cape Enrage, Magic Mountain, Magnetic Hill Zoo, Resurgo Place, Dieppe Aquatic Center, and Kings Landing. You can choose any of these fun spots, or any of your choice! French Immersion students can create a bilingual field trip.
Social Studies - Last week we learned about the Dutch Liberation and the Canadian Tulip Festival! Take a peek at the 'Social Studies' Page!
Math– For this week, we would like you to continue working on IXL. Many of you are making great progress! If you haven't tried this program yet, please do! If you are having trouble, contact your teacher and they can help! You can also see last week's challenge on the math page.
Science – Check out the "Upcycling" Challenge if you haven't had a chance! Thank you to the students who created wonderful projects! Check out the 'Student Show Case' page to see their work! You can also check out some cool STEM East DIY activities! Stay tuned for a new science or social studies challenge coming up next week!
Art – Please take a peek at the fun art projects Mrs. H.B. has planned for you on the ‘Art’ page! We would love to see your finished products!
