This is our last week of home learning! We hope that you enjoy your activities for this week and that you all have a fantastic, safe and fun summer! See below for your new challenge or try any of the challenges you haven't gotten around to yet!
English Languarge Arts/ French Immersion Language Arts - Your challenge this week is to help us create a Grade 5/6 Summer Reading List. Please write 1 book recommendation for a book you think your friends would enjoy! See the "English" page for Mme. Shea's example.
Last week, we asked you to design a virtual field trip! If you didn't get a chance to do that, go ahead and give it a try this week! Create a video, brochure, Sway, Powerpoint or poster about where you would have liked to have gone. Imagine that the restrictions have been lifted and we could go anywhere in New Brunswick. Places we have gone in the past include Hopewell Rocks, Cornhill Nursery, Albert County Museum, Fundy Park, Cape Enrage, Magic Mountain, Magnetic Hill Zoo, Resurgo Place, Dieppe Aquatic Center, and Kings Landing. You can choose any of these fun spots, or any of your choice! French Immersion students can create a bilingual field trip.
Social Studies - We learned about the Dutch Liberation and the Canadian Tulip Festival! Take a peek at the 'Social Studies' Page!
Math– We would REALLY like you to continue working on IXL!!! (Hint, hint, nudge, nudge - don't forget to do some math!!!) Many of you are making great progress! If you haven't tried this program yet, please do! If you are having trouble, contact your teacher and they can help! You can also see last week's challenge on the math page.
Science – Check out the "Upcycling" Challenge if you haven't had a chance! Thank you to the students who created wonderful projects! Check out the 'Student Show Case' page to see their work! You can also check out some cool STEM East DIY activities! Stay tuned for a new science or social studies challenge coming up next week!
Art – Please take a peek at the fun art projects Mrs. H.B. has planned for you on the ‘Art’ page! We would love to see your finished products!
